Hi Folks and Merry Christmas

2009 has been a year of non-doing for Conscious Life Skills Coaching. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue or to let it go. So by doing nothing, I let it stay. I’m still uncertain about its future directions yet wanted to round the year off with a Christmas newsletter.

This year for me has been significantly rewarding and challenging on a personal level - being part of a caring relationship, my son graduating from high school, and huge philosophical and structural changes happening in my work environment. The highs and lows so close together seriously propelled me into a dark night of the soul. Because I didn't want to keep on feeling intense pain from identifying personally with everything that was happening, I was forced to look more deeply into how I was faring and re-evaluate who I really am and what makes my life meaningful. While I now feel happier and lighter, this life re-evaluation is ongoing.

So with Christmas coming up, how are you faring? Can you take ten for some quiet time and ask yourself: How am I going? Try it in front of the mirror , it's easier to have a conversation with someone you can see!

My wish for you

Wherever you are in this world, may Christmas 2009 prove to be a time for reconnecting you to peace love and contentment and may New Year 2010 be the year that you see and feel it happening in your life.

Right now, I hope you enjoy reading what I've enjoyed doing - spontaneously and happily putting together this short all over the place Christmas newsletter.

Merry Christmas

Christmas hotspots

The summer temperatures in Australia are soaring - are your hot spots firing, too? Here’s some Christmas preplanning you can do about seeing the goodness in every person around your holiday table or at least provide tips for cultivating peace of mind about others in situations you really cannot influence. It's Christmas Time
by Bob Lazzar-Atwood.

Put your problems on probation
Run your troubles off the track,
Throw your worries out the window
Get the monkeys off your back.
Silence all your inner critics
With your conscience make amends,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!
Call a truce with those who bother you
Let all the fighting cease,
Give your differences a breather
And declare a time of peace,
Don't let angry feelings taint
The precious time you have to spend,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!
Like some cool refreshing water
Or a gentle summer breeze,
Like a fresh bouquet of flowers
Or the smell of autumn leaves,
It's a banquet for the spirit
Filled with family, food and friends,
So allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again
