Meditation
c2006 Conscious Life Skills
Meditation is the art and practice of quietening the mind. It is a form of self observation that familiarises you with the flow of thoughts in your mind and allows you  gently to disengage from this flow, in order to experience inner peace.

In the panorma of our daily life, meditation is a skill that is increasingly necessary to cultivate. 21st century living while technologically marvellous and materialistically diverse can overstimulate thought and feeling, creating high levels of stress.

People from all religions, occupations and cultures meditate for various reasons - to relax, to explore and witness the contents of their mind, to imagine and expand their creativity through reverie or to go beyond thought and enter transcendental stillness.

Learning how to meditate effectively and refining your current practice helps you

Just type in the word meditation in any search engine and browse the sites that come up.  The Meditation Society of Australia is good value for beginning meditators as it offers a free online meditation course along with free downloadable meditation music and exercises.

There is a meditation practice to suit the needs of your personality and your daily rhythm. Practices can even change over time as you change. Contact us to learn the art of meditation and with any questions you have about your current practice.
